CRUCIAL DREAD - Performances of Note

Crucial Dread has performed in concerts and festivals along with international renowned music artists, such as: the Marley family, Black Uhuru, Inner Circle, and other well-known national & Caribbean artists. The band was honored to be a regularly-featured act on the Budweiser 'Celebration of the Century' Stage during the '96 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. Also honored and by request, Crucial Dread performed at the Book Signing Event Party for Jamaican writer Terry McMillan 'How Stella Got Her Groove Back' at Barnes & Noble/Atlanta.
In many concerts, Crucial Dread has been the headlining band, such as: Decatur Arts Festival(s), March of Dimes Walkathon Concert at Olympic Centennial Park, Annual Bob Marley B-day Bash, 17th Annual Atlanta Oyster Festival, Paschal's Center at Clark University, Lake Lanier Islands Amphitheater in Concert, Adopted Teens of GA A-TEAM shows, and concerts benefitting Our House-Shelter for Homeless Children in Decatur, GA.
Besides concerts & festivals the Band also performs for corporate & country club events, wedding receptions, fraternity/sorority & college events, as well as private parties. (Booking references are available) Some of Crucial Dread's notable events include: AFLAC, Atlanta Falcons, Best Buys, Visa Card Corp., Navision Software, WGCL-TV, Suntrust Bank, Wachovia Bank, AT&T, Bell South, MCI Corp., Home Depot, Urban League, Lake Lanier Islands, Chateau Elan, Clark U., GA Tech, UGA, GSU, Agnes Scott College, Emory U., USCA, Clemson U., U of AL, Auburn U., and including Star94 - FM Radio/Hyatt New Year's Eve Event, and 99X Radio 'How the Grunge Stole Christmas' Party. Venues such as: American Pie, CJ's Landing, & Wild Wing Cafe, consider CRUCIAL DREAD as their first - choice band for performing tropical parties and special events. For two years the band has performed the company Christmas Party for Air Jamaica in Atlanta.
In concert, and the opening show for the headlining band, Black Uhuru, the elated audience called CRUCIAL DREAD back to the stage for several encores!
Crucial Dread also performed for 92.9 FM Radio's Concert Event. This concert took place at Atlanta's Piedmont Park Tavern. The event featured Stephen & Damian 'Jr. Gong' Marley, which included 13 performers from the Marley Family on the billing; and, Crucial Dread opened the show.
In recent times, Crucial Dread has performed: Smith's Old Bar in Atlanta; Frat parties in Atlanta, Athens, & Tuscaloosa; Bob Marley's Birthday Bash at Wild Wing Cafe in Alpharetta & Suwanee, GA locations; Summer Jam at Park Tavern in Atlanta's Piedmont Park; and many Summer Friday nights at Paradise Grill in the heart of the band's home base in Decatur, GA. Other recent private bookings include: parties, wedding receptions, The River Club (Suwanee) golf and country club, Ansley Golf Club (ATL), Cigar Box in Douglasville GA, Lake Lanier Islands Resort, and Coast in Buckhead/ATL.
